Profile:
Dr Angeliki Leondari is Professor Emeritus of the University of Thessaly. Her area of specialization is School Psychology. She is visiting Academic Staff of the School of Theology of the Church of Cyprus. She teaches for the Master Degree of Applied Psychology Program the courses of Counseling Psychology. She is Assistant Editor of the Hellenic Journal of Psychology, member of the editorial board for the International Journal of School and Cognitive Psychology, reviewer in several Greek and international scientific journals. She has been member of the Psychology Committee for I.O.R.A.I.T. (Interdisciplinary Organization for the Recognition of Academic Titles, Δ.Ο.Α.Τ.Α.Π.) (2004-2008). Member of the Scientific Committee of the Project of the General Secretariat for Gender Equality (ΓΓΙΦ), «Strengthening local government actions for the benefit of women and the fight against violence».
Her research interests include topics related to self-concept, body image, self-esteem, possible selves, achievement motivation, children’s understanding of death and death anxiety.
