Participation of Mrs. Maria Pavlou in a two-day conference on the poet Kostas Montis Kosta Monti”.

On Saturday 30 November 2024, Mrs. Maria Pavlou, Assistant Professor of Ancient Greek Language and Literature at the ThSEC, participated in a two-day conference on the Cypriot poet Kostas Montis, which took place at the University of Cyprus. The conference, entitled “As a man he was a poet, as a poet man”: aspects of the life and work of Kostas Montis, was organized by the Centre for Literary and Cultural Studies (ELOPOS) in collaboration with the Department of Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies of the University of Cyprus and was held under the auspices of the Deputy Minister of Culture, Mrs. The conference, which was organized on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of Montis’ birth and the 20th anniversary of his death, was attended by 19 speakers. Paul’s paper focused on the complex function of time in the First Letter to the Mother of Monte.
